Saw interesting guitar player in center of the Kiev(stairway to arch of nations friendship). He played covers of Nirvana. Stayed there for some time to listen him. Nobody payed his music. It's a pitty cos' worst players with askers earn more money for worst music. I hope to listen to him again - it's positive energy.

Some time ago I was onlooker of fire in building I work. My camera was with me so I take some shots. It seems that photographer in out country is enemy for everybody. And people think that than bigger your camera and than longer you lens than you are most dangerous. So above ten people was shooting on camera phones and it's ok. After my first shots one man ask me who am I and what I am doing here. Man was standing in window of second floor and shouting to me. I feel that situation became non very good for me and go back to work. On my path guard stooped me and asked am I know that this is private property and shooting is prohibited? I tell that I know that this is private property and shooting is allowed. And go. Really shooting is allowed. I am not allowed to shot inside of private property. But outside from the street - I can. In out country guards are violate out right to photo everywhere. You can't shot embassy of USA for example because guards will run from it and will trying to take away you camera. Another political buildings. They shooting are not prohibited by our policies. It's is hard to make photo of people on the street. They all will asking why you are shooting them. Even if you shooting just a building through them. It's interesting how free are you in other countries? Are you free to shoot some events like fires, crashes and other?

weather, spring coming

Really boring weather today. This shot shows what almost everybody see through a window in our city. But some time later I see a sun. That is very amazing for me to see it last time. When you see at a sun light after such days you really think than nature is best light engineer at all. I wait for real spring. When nature will awake from it's sleep and it will became warmer enought for walking.

Taked this picture today during bass playing. Light from a window make non-best shadows but I like this photo. It seems to me that this photo would not pass inspector at any photostock. But I am still like it =) I must look at it next week. Sometimes I like images which is in next view looks awful =(

I don't know what happened but today almost all films can't keep my atention. I see atentivly maybe first 10 minutes. Than I take guitar and play. Sometimes I break to watch what is going in movie. But they are so booring.
But today browsing blogspot I found short movie which was amazing becouse it keept myh atention from the begining and to the end. And at the end I was killed - I really was wanting for continue. This is very rare and strange for me =(

try to be microstock photographer

I was trying to sell my photos. It is really hard because your photos must be high technical and aesthetic quality. But it not enough to be successful in this. Your photo must be good for sell. Really good theme to sell is business. People sell very awful in aesthetic aspect photos. But this photos became bought because business photos is really need. I want to try capture some business photo in near future. Now I am trying my skill on objects. Almost all photos is declined by inspectors with reason invalid exposure or lightning setup. Yeah it is really poor lightning(old USSR flash with handmade synchronizer) :)
Now I am thinking about buying a good flash. But choose is really hard for me.

Captured from third try =). In out city it is hard to buy a good essential oil. Oils made in crymea is almost all false =(

Today I don't know what light I really need so I use an old ussr splash. Synchronizer for it was maded by my friend. This splash have not any settings. It is really hard to make photos with it becaus it dosn't have a modular lighting. So I must do fist shot just to see what lightning will be.
Microstocks don't take this pictures with reason 'invalid exposure'. I work at this problem.

Hi! This is my first post to here. Before this I had the blog in russian hosted in livejournal. So my english skill is really weak.
My job is system programming and it security. It is connected with game development. But all free time is taked by photography, walking and music(I play bass guitar). I am a newbie to my hobbies. First my camera was olympus stylus and it was 2 years ago. So my skill in photography is only 2 years. At this moment I want to sell my photos at microstocks. At this moment I have no success with this. But I keep trying to do better photos. It is really good motiv to make more quality photos. You begin to think about prints of your photo, about noises, about composition and usage of photo.
My Fender Squier Affinity P-Bass I bought 2 month ago when my friend proposed me to be bass player in his band. We play something like black sabbath(so it is stooner), but with punk and other styles elements. This is my first bass. Before this I was playing on acoustic guitar and electric guitar.
